惡叉
(惡叉, 恶叉)
(sa) akṣa, 'a seed of which rosaries are made (in compound words, like Indrāksha, Rudrāksha); a shrub producing that seed ((la) Eleocarpus ganitrus).' M. W. It is called the [lang id =1028]惡叉聚 because its seeds are said to be formed in triplets, and illustrate the simultaneous character of [lang id =1028]惑行苦 illusion, action, and suffering; another version is that the seeds fall in clusters, and illustrate numbers, or numerous; they are also known as [lang id =1028]金剛子.
